Design Phase

The design process can be broken down into four phases: Preliminary Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document phases.

Phase I

The Preliminary Design phase consists of a review of the owner’s Program Outline, budget , and floor plan, if available, and/or assisting the owner in developing these criteria; researching applicable local city zoning and building code requirements for the project; and developing concept floor plans from the previous criteria to establish relationships and approximate square footages for the project.
